1. Open Networking Doors
Rock your Statement Jewelry while networking. You will receive tons of compliments!

Here's a tip... After accepting the compliment ,take the conversation to the next level (whatever you are trying to accomplish). If you’re at a fashion event, start building relationships by introducing yourself . This is the perfect time to transition your conversation from a compliment to a possible relationship.

2. Make a Fashion Statement
Take this challenge…next time you’re out mixing and mingling, make a statement by rocking a bold necklace or a glamorous cocktail ring. This will initiate  contact with nearly everyone at the event.

3. From Drab to Fab
Get your Spring 2013 Statement pieces together! Start taking your outfits from drab to fab. Make
trends your own and rock them to compliment your wardrobe.

4. Rock your Statement Pieces
Wearing statement jewelry pieces can open many doors, besides just a fashion statement. If you haven’t worn them before you should consider wearing them! Accessories can take an ensemble to the next level and possibly take your career and/or personal life there too.

5. Upgrade your Wardrobe
Always pick pieces that you personally love so that you are extremely confident about them, because it will definitely
show.
Doing so can also save you lots of money for Spring because you do not necessarily have to buy an entire new wardrobe, You just mix and match your wardrobe from late season and update it by adding new accessories! You will save hundreds of dollars this year which you can spend on something else.

Bootylious Beyonce GQ Cover

Gotta give credit when credit is due? Or do you?

Beyonce reveals it all in the upcoming cover of GQ! Some may call it sexy, others may think it's trashy. In the end all that matters is what Bey thinks.

This is how she looks post-pregnancy! Amazing! Baby Blue Ivy just recently turned 1 years old and Bey bounced back already. You gotta commend her for that accomplishment. But was it the right move for her career? I wonder what Jay had to say about this?

Check out this photo that will be featured in the upcoming February 2013 issue of GQ.

Wow! Geeessshhh! OMG! Beyonce, Beyonce!

I wonder what made her make this move! It's extremely sexy compared to her style before her pregnancy. But does it work or not? I'm a bit confused and puzzled.

They say if you got it Flaunt it and I figure that's what she decided to do. The music industry is very competitive and sex sales, right? So I guess it could be the right move.

At the end of the day, she is a young, vibrant, sexy superstar that can pretty much do whatever she wants! But will it make or break her? We will just have to wait and see what the critics/media have to say about this one. I just can't get with it as a extreme fan. This photo doesn't represent what she always portrayed. It just doesn't match up. I will always love her though and have to respect her for such a bold move! I wish you the best of luck, Bey!

I'm curious....What do you guys think about it? Or am I just Hatin! lol

Beyonce's upcoming performances for 2013:
  • Pres. Obama Inauguration 1/21
  • The new Destiny’s Child Album 1/29
  • Super Bowl Halftime Show 2/3
  • HBO Documentary 2/16

Naturalista's Taking Over!

Just Fabulous!

Being "Natural" has been an extreme trend in the Hair Care Industry! Not being funny, but I wonder how long that will last? Many people consider it as a lifestyle since it requires lots of maintenance, styling, time and patience. But it's well worth it. During 2012 I  noticed many celebrities and even average ladies on the streets rockin' natural-like hair weave, mainly because it's so easier to take the easy route out. I admit it, I am guilty! I am one of those chicks that will fake it, until I make it! lol.

Check out Kelly Rowland's Naturally inspired Hair Extensions
Believe it or not I am exactly natural underneath it all. My natural hair is very soft, manageable and 100% natural! Personally, I decided to wear hair extensions during the transitional stages of going "Natural" although this may be frowned upon by many Naturalista's. Who cares!? Not I. I stopped receiving relaxers several years ago and will never remember the exact date I stopped. Lately I decided to convince myself to start rockin my natural locs and I've realized, I'm just not ready yet. Every time I see someone else rockin' there's, it looks great but I just can't seem to get wit it. As the year progresses, lets see what my final decision will be.

Check out Cover Girl , Janelle Monae

It's a New Year so I'm seriously thinking about giving it a try or at least learn how to care for my natural hair appropriately. I've brought a few products after watching a few YouTube tutorials. They are all so informative..then after watching them you get all amped up and guess what? That excitement lasts an entire day, until you realize it's not as easy as it looks.  I tip my hat to all True Naturalistas!

I figured...just order some samples to try it out and take it from there. If you are going through the same hair struggle I feel ya!

4 Poppin' Makeup Trends by Reggie

What does Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama and Beyonce Knowles all have in common? They all have had their face beat (makeup applied) by
Celebrity Makeup Artist, Reggie Wells

Channel Surfing late night, I saw Reggie on a Local TV Show called Windy City Live. Since I'm starting to do more research on the folks behind all these beautiful faces on tv I figured I should tune in. I learned so many awesome makeup tips in 7 minutes, I had to share them with somebody! Reggie's fun, exciting, straight-forward attitude caught my attention and really made me pay close attention to these excellent tips!

4 Makeup Trends by Reggie Wells
discussed with Windy City Live, Host Val Wayner
  1. Use Brighter Eye Shadow Colors  Don't be afraid to apply lighter, brighter colors from your eye shadow palette! Apply shadow to the top of the brow, near your eyelid. Using a Chocolate Brown on the eyelid and Bright Orange on the lower lid. Make sure you blend it in well.
  2. Blend Blush in with Foundation When applying blush, make sure you only apply it to the apple of your cheek. Not beyond the apple. Reggie stressed this! After applying blush, blend it in with foundation. Gently roll the brush across the apple of your cheek. You will not be able to figure out where the beginning ends. Perfect Cheeks!
  3. Color Eye Liner/ Less Dark Lines   Instead of using traditional, dark eye shadows, try using a color eye liner. In the video Reggie's model was young, vibrant and had a beautiful eye shape. Therefore using Dark Black or Blue Liner wasn't necessary. They applied gold liner using brush. Reggie's Rule of Thumb is,"Don't over work it if you already have it". It's that simple!
  4. Pay more attention to your lower lashes  Achieve a 1970's look, like Cleopatra. Try applying two or three lashes on your bottom lash line, with no lashes applied to the top. But you should create a bold line on the top using eyeliner. This technique will accent your eye shape. Lashes are normally applied to the Top Lashes and not the bottom. Step outside the box!

Little did you know…10 Style Tips

On Twitter Tweeting and ReTweeting and guess what pops up in my newsfeed!? An awesome style guide by StyleCaster, 101 'Tips and Tricks Every Girl Should Know'! Many of these tips are quite useful and I wanted to share it with you guys! I added a few pics so you could visualize what and how you can apply these suggestions to your wardrobe.

1. Wash jeans twice before taking them to the tailor. Why? Because jeans will always shrink in length when washed

2. Snap clip-on earrings onto flats for an instant evening shoe or, onto shirt collars for DIY embellishments

3. Spray tights with sticky hairspray to avoid holes and runs.

4. Double -stick tape works to shorten a hem in a pinch if you can't get to the tailor before an event.

5. Revamp an old coat by swapping out the buttons and having a tailor replace the lining with something eye-catching like a pattern or bright color

6. If blush or bronzer breaks in your handbag, pre-moistened makeup removing wipes will clean up the loose powder flawlessly.

7. The best way to store fashion jewelry, including Sterling Silver, is in Ziploc bags. This helps pieces retain luster and reduces tarnishing and scratches.

8. Looking for an easy trick to make your bare legs look longer? Try nude color pumps, Dark shoes make your legs look shorter, but light-toned versions give the illusion that they extend an extra few inches.

9. V neck sweaters and T-shirts give the illusion of a longer torso

10. It's a myth that loose styles fatter a large bust or plus-size woman, The area just under the bust is a woman’s smallest torso measurement, so emphasizing it with a structured waistband that hits higher than your natural waist will make you look a size smaller.
